The Wire is a TV series from HBO that portrays the underside of urban life in Baltimore, MD, a city which takes pride in it’s nickname “Charm City.” However, the Baltimore in The Wire is anything but charming, but faces blight and corruption ubiquitous in the post-industrial American City.
